Flap discs are the fastest-moving abrasive in most welding shops because they do what a grinding wheel can't: remove material gently enough to blend a weld flush with parent metal and leave a finish ready for paint or polish. Metabo's zirconia alumina cuts faster than standard aluminum oxide and stays sharp longer because new abrasive grains expose as old ones wear. 4-1/2 inch, 7/8-inch arbor, available in 40, 60, 80, and 120 grit.
