Most magnetic squares are an on-always magnet, which means you fight the magnet to position the work and you fight it again to remove it. The MSA46 puts the magnet on a switch — click on to hold, click off to release — and adds a 30°, 45°, 60°, 90° angle stop so the same tool handles every common joint. Pull strength is rated to 165 pounds, which is more than enough for tack-up on most assemblies. We sell these in twos and fours because welders rarely buy just one.
