About ESAB
ESAB started in 1904 with the inventor of the coated stick electrode and has spent the last century building one of the deepest catalogs in welding — power sources, filler metals, plasma cutters (under the Thermal Dynamics brand, also owned by ESAB), and welding automation. The North American operation is headquartered in Maryland.
The Rebel EMP 215ic is our best-selling ESAB machine and one we recommend often when a customer wants a true multiprocess welder under $2,000. The sMIG adaptive control learns the operator's technique and smooths the arc accordingly — most welders end up running cleaner beads on the Rebel than on equivalent machines from larger brands. The Rogue ES 180i is a similar story on the stick side: a tough, jobsite-friendly inverter at a fair price.
